Respirator Fit Testing

If employees are required to wear respirators, OSHA requires annual fit testing with medical clearance — and possibly a Pulmonary Function Test (PFT). BIO helps employers comply with these respiratory protection regulations on-site.

  • On-line medical clearances to certify ability to wear equipment
  • Qualitative fit testing using Bitrex or noxious smoke for exposures of less than 100 ppm of contaminants
  • Respirator training on use and care of equipment
  • NIOSH certified technicians
  • On-site pulmonary function testing to determine ability to wear equipment
  • Quantitative fit testing available through specialized independent partner for exposures greater than 100 ppm or hazardous materials
